Remember when I talked about fear and how it’s important to go towards the things that scare you? As you saw, one of my fears was releasing a video I’d been sitting on for months because I didn’t think it was “perfect”. As you also saw, I shared this video and the world did not come to an end. Shocking, I know.
Now that I’m realizing facing my fears does not stop the world from turning, I’ve decided to tackle another thing I’ve been wanting to do but have been putting off.
I’ve been playing around with the idea of doing regular AMA (Ask Me Anything) videos for a while – a live Q&A chat where you ask me questions on a specific topic. Working one-on-one is great (seriously, I love it!), but I can only help so many people that way. These chats would not only let me answer your awesome questions but help more people in the process! Also, I do love hearing myself talk, so these Q&As would really be a win-win for everybody. 🙂
Do fears still exist? Absolutely. What happens if nobody shows? What if I don’t know the answer to a question? Will the camera on my iPhone make my face look fat? You know, rational fears.
But writing that last newsletter really helped put things in perspective, so I’m going to start doing these AMA-type live videos! I’ve decided to dub them Awesome Hours (because they’re like office hours…get it?!) and you should think of them as such – a space to come and get your money questions discussed and answered!
The first Awesome Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd at 4pm ET/1pm PT via Facebook Live! In the future, I will source topics from this community, but this first Awesome Hours will be on “Paying Down Debt vs. Saving”. Many people I talk to are unsure of how to tackle their debt, whether they should be saving at the same time, and are looking for a plan of attack. I’ll talk about how to prioritize your debt, if/what you should be saving, and answer any questions that come up throughout the chat!
How long will it be? For this first one, I am blocking off 45 minutes in order to cover the material and allow for questions. The first 15-20 minutes will be me teaching the basics of paying down debt vs. saving, with the remaining time dedicated to answering any/all questions that you guys have.
You can join in on the Awesome Hours by visiting my Facebook page just before I go live (Tuesday, November 22nd at 4pm ET/1pm PT). You can also visit my page anytime beforehand (like right now!) and click the “follow” button to get status notifications when I’ll be live!
I am super excited to be doing this! As I said, it’s what I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I’m ready to finally make it happen. Have a glorious rest of your week/weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
